The hardest battle you will ever fight is the one against yourself.
There comes a time when we must choose our battles. It’s not easy but with patience, determination, and discipline, we can achieve great things.
Like surviving a 3-hour social event where you’re dying to scratch your head.
Our battle against head lice isn’t new. It’s been going on since the beginning of time. There have been lice combs dating back to thousands of years. Whatever the case, one thing is certain: lice are enemy # 1.
But one thing that always makes it difficult to combat these critters is how they attack. While they are harmless, they are clever. You never know when a pesky parasite is going to show up to the party uninvited. And before you know it, you’re left struggling with an unbearable itch!
At parties, during your sister’s birthday, at a friend’s weddings, or during a date. These are some examples of when you’re left to deal with an itch you can’t scratch!
But rest assured! There are ways to handle the situation like a pro! Here are a few things you can do:
When you’re at an educational seminar or event, you can always use the pen trick. Just pretend you’re thinking something, while writing down something “important”, and use your pen to scratch your head.
This is a win-win situation because you don’t have to deal with head lice and you’re going to look smart!
Pretend your hairdo needs to be fixed. Use your brush to get rid of that itch! This will also help you style your hair in such a way that you won’t have to worry about pesky critters popping up and ruining the event for you!
If you’re outdoors, this is the perfect excuse. “Ah, it’s hot today! My head sure is itchy *scratch, scratch*”.
Chances are, another person will agree with you. Humidity equipped with hair is a recipe for itchiness and disaster.
You can use the above strategies to ward off lice temporarily. Or you know, you could use the right weapon to exterminate the enemy once and for all.
A lice removal clinic helps get rid of head lice, using natural treatments. You no longer have to worry about going to social events without a pesky critter popping up out of nowhere!
We are a head lice removal clinic in Pembroke Pines that uses natural products to get rid of nits and lice from each strand of hair.
We also offer free head lice screenings and in-home treatment services. Feel free to call us at (800) 405-8201 for further information and details!

Before we get into the details of what you need to do to clean your house after lice infestation, we would like to reiterate the importance of making sure your household has been successfully treated.
After all, it’s not your house that is the source of infestation.
That first louse, A-lice in wonderland, did not leisurely come crawling at your doorstep; someone in your family got infested, and it turned into a domestic epidemic.
So, yes, focus on heads first.
Everyone has received their certificate of clearance?
Great. Now we can track and hunt those lurking lice in your house – and clean it to prevent any fresh infestation.
Pillows, combs, hair brushes, clothing, blanket, your kids, stuffed toys, barrettes, headbands—everything that you can find—seal them in plastic bags.
And then safely store the plastic bags in a cupboard. Make sure these bags are airtight.
Start with your, and your kids’ bedroom. Vacuum the mattresses, paying close attention to the seams and crevices. Then your carpet. And swiftly move to cushions, couches and sofa sets.
Vacuum every piece of furniture—tilt them, turn them upside down.
Prepare a dilute solution of warm water and natural floor cleaner. Use this solution to mop all the floors. Make sure you cover every corner—you never know where a louse might be hiding.
Once you have mopped the floors, spray them with a household disinfectant. Its preferable to use a disinfectant that has a pleasant fragrance—you don’t want everyone to be choking in the house.
Once the floor has dried out and you have allowed yourself enough rest, it’s time to take out all the sealed items and wash them with hot water. Items such as combs, hair brushes, barrettes etc. should be soaked in a bowl of hot water for about 1-2 minutes. Clothing, beddings and plush items should be washed in a washing machine, filled with hot water.
Dry them out and keep everything back to where it belonged.
And you are done—your house is free from lice infestation.
Don’t worry, Lice Busters USA has got you covered. We provide lice inspection and cleaning services to make sure your house is completely cleaned from any laid nit or a lurking louse. You won’t have to do anything – our technicians will do it all for you. All we need from you is a 2-hour cooperation window.
We also provide an pesticide free head lice treatment, at our lice removal clinic and also at homes. Call us at 800 403 5423 to schedule an appointment.

But there are many parents who have used it.
And, that resource available online, also agrees with the efficacy of mayonnaise lice treatment.
So, why do we think it does not work and neither it is a good idea to cover your head in mayonnaise?
To explain that, let’s look at the idea behind the “claim” that mayonnaise can help you get rid of lice.
The treatment method works—apparently—by suffocating the lice found on one’s scalp. Mayonnaise get into a louse’s breathing system and chokes it, resulting in its death.
Fair enough, for theoretically it makes sense.
But the practical evidence does not seem to suggest so.
Journal of Pediatric Nursing states:
“None of the home remedy products we surveyed was an effective means of louse control.”
They tested mayonnaise, petroleum jelly and any other household products — otherwise claimed to be effective lice treatments.
Further, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also states the same:
“The CDC does not have clear scientific evidence to determine if suffocation of head lice with mayonnaise, olive oil, margarine, butter, or similar substances is an effective form of treatment.”
And, even if for an instance, we decide to go against what CDC and Journal of Pediatric Nursing have to say, what about those eggs (nits)—how can you suffocate eggs to death?
And without killing those eggs you can never eliminate lice infestation.
Clearly,
Mayonnaise lice treatment does not work!
Some of our readers might find our stance a little bit stern – we humbly agree. But there is a reason for that, which we would like to share with you all.
Massachusetts toddler dies during head lice treatment…
It was the news, run by CBSN on February 5, 2015.
Parents covered their 18-month old child’s scalp in mayonnaise and placed a shopping bag over her head. They left the toddler sleeping peacefully. While unattended, the bag slid down on her face and suffocated her to death.
Yes, the mayonnaise was not at fault but the protocols entailing the treatment method were. There were enough elements involved in the treatment that increased the probability of such an accident.
Surely,
Mayonnaise lice treatment is not a good idea!
This piece was not intended to make you feel worried; it was just to educate you that when it comes to exercising a step that concerns the subject of health, domestic tips and home remedies are better left avoided.
To date, the most effective and safest head lice treatment remains nitpicking. And here at Lice Busters USA, we combine this traditional practice with modern elements, providing you and your family a complete head lice treatment solution.
Our professionals are certified, experienced and trained to provide you with the best lice treatment service. Call at 800 405 8201 to schedule an appointment.
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay lice free!

Since our evolution as a separate species, we humans have been the hosts of these creepy bugs.
Lice have also evolved to stay with particular areas of our bodies. This way, they have been divided into three parts: head lice, body lice and pubic lice.
Our focus will be on head lice—the most common ones.
Head lice or Pediculus humanus capitis is a creepy, six-legged creature that lives on the human scalp and feeds on human blood.
Head lice go through three stages. They are eggs, nymphs and adults. Let’s explore them a bit further:
Lice lay eggs that are called nits. They are quite difficult to detect and can be confused with dandruff.
The adult female louse lays these eggs. After an egg has been laid, it takes around 6 to 9 days to hatch.
It should be remembered that these nits can only live on a human head. The human scalp provides it the right environment to hatch. If a nit falls off the hair shaft, it won’t be able to survive.
After the egg hatches, it releases a nymph. It looks like an adult head louse and its size is equal to that of a pinhead. It takes around 7 days for the nymph to actually become an adult.
The adult head louse has 6 legs and is about the size of a sesame seed. It is the adult head louse that causes all the itching and scratching. The female head louse is the key player here. She is larger and can lay up to 8 nits every day. An adult louse can easily live for a month on a human head.
The claws of the head louse help them cling to the shafts of hair. This means that they can crawl from one head to another. However, for that to happen, the heads must be in close contact with each other.
It should be remembered that lice can only crawl—they cannot jump, hop or fly.
Head lice can live up to 24 hours without the human scalp. Some of the surfaces that they can live on can include carpets, floors, clothing items, head phones, etc.
If your kid has gone through lice treatment, it is very important that you clean the entire house, especially the surfaces mentioned above.
With a complete understanding of the lice life cycle, we at Lice Busters offer lice removal Plantation based services. Applying pesticide free lice treatment methods, we ensure that you completely get rid of lice. Book an appointment with us.

Remember Starship Troopers? You probably laugh about it now, but as we can all agree, the gigantic bugs were nothing short of a nightmare for most of us as kids. The huge creepy crawlies that planned to take over the world and destroy mankind were frightening. But for those who were brave souls, they were a chance to show every other alien force just how awesome mankind is.
For some reason, however, lice seem a lot scarier than the massive bugs on our screens. Perhaps it’s because despite their tiny size, they are much more real than any science fiction villain.
But their realness just goes to show that we can face our worst fears head-on, and get rid of the problem. Now imagine if the bugs from bug movies were real. Then we’d have something to be scared of!
Here are a few bug movies that were not only the bane of our existence as kids, but the reason we’re glad lice aren’t the only bugs around!
Warning: not for the weak-hearted!
Bug is about a war veteran who decides to stay together with a lonely woman in a spooky, scary Oklahoma motel room. Things start getting weird when they encounter a pest infestation. While a cockroach or two is something you expect to see in a motel, what would you do with you encounter hundreds of bugs?
The tagline of the film? Paranoia is contagious.
This is on top of our horror movie list! The plot centers on an entomologist who designs a bug to kill cockroaches. But that backfires as the insect joins the dark side and creates an army of its kind. Their goal? Destroy mankind.
If that’s not enough, these insects can mimic human form. Yikes!
Remember Animorphs? Well, this is something similar, but scarier. The movie is about an island in Maine that is inhabited by a strange species of insects that attack humans and take over their mind and body!
Imagine having to face that!
Not only are these bug movies scary, they are a reminder that lice aren’t the only problem around.
While head lice are annoying, they’re not difficult to get rid of—and a lice treatment center can certainly help!
